2017 Old House Fair on Saturday, March 4, 2017, 9am-3pm Nashville TN

The Metropolitan Historical Commission Foundation and partners will host the 2017 Old House Fair on Saturday, March 4, 2017, 9am-3pm, at the Sevier Park Community Center, 3021 Lealand Avenue. The Old House Fair is a FREE day-long festival showcasing new ideas, practical advice, innovative materials, and quality services for homeowners to learn more about sustainable and historic products and services, and gain tips for planning and executing your project.

Two Tiny Houses are available for viewing and parked to one side of Sunnyside Mansion in the center of Sevier Park.

Tiny House Movement: How Does it Apply in Established Neighborhoods?

Time: 9:30 - 10:00 AM
There is a lot of talk about the need to increase housing numbers and options in Nashville. Building a house behind a house, may seem like the easiest answer but isn’t always the most appropriate one for our established neighborhoods. Sarah Murphy with the Music City Tiny House will explain what a “tiny house” is and how it can meet the needs of property owners, occupants and neighborhoods in a context sensitive manner as well as what is needed to make them legal.
